The Beauty of Letting it all Fall Apart.

There are a lot of things at play this summer. The political climate has been disastrous at best, five planets are in retrograde, Blood moon and lunar eclipse have some in a tizzy, extreme heat and wild fires have been continuous, and it seems like things are just about falling apart.
Most of the people I've spoken to and read for in the recent months all say much of the same thing. Things are busting at the seams, the chaos threatening to spill out and taint the last stitch of control we think we have. Everyone wants a change, but everyone is terrified of chaos that it takes to get there.

The Tower has been popping up in most of my readings for clients, and the imagery in my day to day life has been so serendipitous that its been hard to ignore. No one thinks they want The Tower, but its vital to the beginning of a new cycle. Wild fires cause tremendous damage, burning most everything in their path right down to the base. Things are laid naked, cracked, burned, and empty; and more importantly- ready to be filled. Ready for new life to take hold in what is now fertile soil.

Before great change, must be a great tearing down; a great reckoning. It is painful, no doubt, but all the best things in life have this crucial link to pain.
Birth is the most obvious example. What is more beautiful than new life?
But don't forget love. Those crucial heart breaks that show you how to build yourself up to someone or something better, and show you how crucial it is to love yourself.
Death, the ultimate destruction, is crucial because it clears the way for new life.

I know where you are right now. I see how hard you are trying. I know how hard it is to get up every day and scrape through to the next one, trying to keep everything together in some semblance of productivity or sanity. And I love you for it.

Now, I want you to ask yourself what you can clear away to make room for what you really want in the secret depths of your heart. What can you burn away to make your soul fertile for your new life to take hold? This is what this Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse combo is asking you, and the tower is showing you the way.

What can you let fall apart without putting yourself in danger? What can you watch burn to the ground, purified and empty and ready to be filled with the next cycle of your life?

Whatever or whoever it is, write it down, offer it to the moon, and burn it. Watch your tower crumble in glorious flames so you can build again, better and more shapely. Everything is being reshaped and reborn right now and over the next few weeks, and now is your opportunity to set the course. Get out and soak that moon in, and let it fall apart.

“As if you were on fire from within.
The moon lives in the lining of your skin.”

--Pablo Neruda

  1. So very true. There are big changes for me and my family happening this summer, and they are bittersweet. I know they are good, but they mean leaving behind some things that I cherish, and some things I'm just used to.

I'm now working on physical purging of belongings and familiar routines, and spiritually holding on to only those things I hold most dear. Even good life changes are stressful. But as you say, some things are worth clearing away the old to make way for the new!
